Welcome to Mara Sol Midwifery and Home Birth Services
Mara SolProvides midwifery care and home birth services as a childbirth alternative to the hospital setting. Servicing Brevard, portions of Indian River, Osceola, Seminole, Orange, and Volusia Counties.Congratulations on the upcoming addition to your family!
My goal is to provide a safe, sensitive, supportive, empowering atmosphere throughout pregnancy and the birth process.
My philosophy as a midwife is that pregnancy and childbirth are normal life events for which our bodies are perfectly designed. We believe in women’s power and ability to give birth consciously without intervention. We believe it is the midwife’s work to assist the birthing family in the journey through pregnancy, labor, and birth by monitoring the natural process and by encouraging women to take responsibility for their births, follow their own instincts, and birth their baby’s rather than someone else stepping in and taking control. It is also my belief that childbirth is a family centered event in which the midwife’s role is to enhance the family unit. My practice is designed so that parents and families can be involved in and enjoy the events of normal pregnancy and childbirth in a safe, personalized, family-centered setting. We encourage our families to take full responsibility for their own health care and for the outcome of their birth. We will
assist with information on nutrition, exercise, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn care, breastfeeding, and childbirth education, empowering you through knowledge.
Spending quality time with each family is important to establishing a trusting bond between midwife and client. Creating a close relationship is essential to your care To make sure of this, appointment times will be 60 minutes long. Appointments are scheduled every four weeks until 28 weeks, from 28 weeks to 36 weeks we see you every two weeks, and from 36 weeks on we see you weekly until your birth.
