Welcome to Mara Sol Midwifery and Home Birth Services

My name is Mary Hall, I’m a mother of 4 children, I’m a Licensed Midwife (LM), a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), as well as a Childbirth Educator, and Doula.

I became interested in Midwifery and home birth 24 years ago when I became pregnant with my first child. Instinctively I knew that the hospital was not the place to bring forth new life, and I believed then and continue to believe now that birth is a normal life event.

 After some research I chose to birth at a Birth Center with an amazing Doctor. Although I had a wonderful experience and received outstanding care, I knew on the way home from the Birth Center, with my new son in my arms, that when I became pregnant again I would choose a home birth with a Midwife. True to my word when I became pregnant with my second child I sought out midwifery care and from that moment on I became hooked on midwifery.

I studied privately and attended births as a labor support person for years before I began my formal training. I graduated from the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery, a three year comprehensive academic and clinical Midwifery program. Upon graduation I sat for the North American Registry of Midwives, national certification exam. As a Midwife I am an expert in natural, low risk, normal birth. I am committed to nonintervention. It is my job as well as my joy to encourage women to actively participate in the birthing process by providing health care education, emotional, and social support.
